Banana bites

For Chester's birthday, I thought we'd try to do up some banana pancakes, but more banana than pancake.  "Banana Bites."

Pancake batter.

Slice bananas horizontally and dredge in batter.

Tim's version.  Not bad!

I took over.   Here's my starting batch.

A little leftover mix for us adults.  With banana sour cream topping.  Mmm.

A new take on carrot sticks

Since I've been having trouble getting Chester to eat veggies, I thought I'd try a new recipe:  Carrot Snack Sticks.  They're like breadsticks but with carrots and parmesan.

Delish!  They taste a bit like Goldfish crackers, but healthy!

Oh did you say healthy?  No thanks.

Hmm....the jury's still out.

Creamed salmon?  Ew.  I don't care if it's an award winning recipe.

The Great Escape

Someone pushed his Leapfrog Learning Table up against the baby gates in his playroom today...

When he thought I wasn't looking he tried to climb aboard...

When I walked back in he immediately put his leg down and pretended to do something else.  Sneaky!  I know this table is for learning but this takes it to an entirely different level!

French Toast

Ding ding ding! It seems we have a winner. I think it may have something to do with only wanting to eat Daddy's food. Hmphf.
